The Battery Show 2012

The ALABC is partnering with The Battery Show to actively promote advanced lead-acid batteries among other energy storage technologies at their 2012 show to be held Nov. 13-15, in Detroit, MI, USA.

Under a new partnership with The Battery Show, the ALABC will display two of its demonstration vehicles at the 2012 event in Detroit, Nov. 13-15.  The Consortium is coordinating with Exide Technologies to display at their booth the LC Super Hybrid, which uses Exide lead-carbon batteries and was developed in collaboration with AVL Schrick, CPT and Provector.  In addition, East Penn will demonstrate at their booth a Honda Civic mild hybrid that was successfully retrofitted by Phoenix-based Ecotality North America with East Penn’s lead-carbon UltraBatteries.

In exchange for the ALABC’s promotion of the Detroit event, The Battery Show is offering the Consortium a free exhibition booth, in which ALABC achievements will be on display as well as further advertisement of the demonstration vehicles on display at the Exide and East Penn booths.  In addition, ALABC members will receive a10% discount on passes to The Battery Show’s three-day conference session, which will feature over 33 presentations by high-reputed speakers on worldwide market trends and the development success of various types of advanced batteries for hybrid electric vehicles and other energy storage applications.

The Battery Show’s exhibition program will include more than 200 companies, most of which are major producers and researchers of electric and hybrid electric vehicles, advanced batteries and energy storage systems. It should be noted that several of these exhibitors will be lead-acid and lead-carbon battery makers.  For more information regarding ALABC's partnership with The Battery Show or the associated discount to ALABC members, please contact Chip Bremer at [email protected].
